Biography
Cori (Harrison) Malone is currently a lecturer of Animal Science at Illinois State University who facilitates the Introduction to Animal Science lecture and lab and Animal Behavior courses. She received two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Animal Science and one in Agricultural Communications, from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK and then completed her Master of Science degree in Agricultural Education and Leadership at Illinois State University. Cori's thesis research evaluated the effectiveness of experiential learning in animal science curriculum. While conducting this research she helped to develop, implement and facilitate the first ever hands-on beef cattle management course at ISU. She is currently a co-advisor of the Hoof N' Horn RSO, which hosts the Redbird Rumble Jackpot Steer and Heifer Show each year. Cori and her husband Ryan own and operate a 75 head Limousin/Angus/Simmental cattle herd. In addition to her teaching duties, Cori also serves as Academic Advisor for the Agricultural Communications, Animal Science and Animal Industry Management students.
