Biography

Jianwei Lai is an associate professor in the School of Information Technology at Illinois State University. She received her Ph.D. in Information Systems in 2016 from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She also earned her master's degree in Psychology from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, in 2009.

Teaching Interests & Areas

Jianwei is interested in teaching courses related to Web development, user interface design, human-computer interaction, research methodology, usability, user experience, and mobile computing.

Research Interests & Areas

Jianwei Lai's research interests lie in the fields of Human-Computer-Interaction, Mobile Computing and Applications, and User Behavioral and Cognitive Activities. She is interested in both foundational issues and practical innovations of user interaction with digital devices, particularly the design of novel interfaces and interaction techniques. She is also very interested in accessibility issues.
