Biography

Kathryn Stalter, NCIDQ is an Instructional Assistant Professor for Interior Design. She received her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Florida State University and has a degree of Interior and Environmental Design from Illinois State University. She practiced interior design at Scharnett Associates Architects, formally Francois Associate Architects, in Bloomington, Illinois. During her time in industry, she created and managed interior design and digital projects for commercial and high-end residential clients, while working collaboratively with architects. Her work with an education client was formally recognized with a community improvement award in 2016. In the classroom, Kathryn enjoys connecting the material to real-world application by sharing experiences during her time in industry.
