Biography

Kaitlin Byrd is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Illinois State University. Kaitlin received her BS and MS/Dietetic Internship in Family and Consumer Sciences from Illinois State University. Kaitlin serves as Assistant Program Director of the accredited Dietetic Internship. She supervises 50 distance learners in the Track 2 Distance Dietetic Internship; working with 150+ preceptors across the Nation. In addition to her role as Assistant Program Director, Kaitlin has taught several courses in the Food and Nutrition sequence including ‘Nutrition Through the Lifespan’, ‘Nutrition Counseling and Assessment’, ‘Advanced Medical Nutrition Therapy’, and ‘Graduate Seminar: Food and Nutrition’.
