Biography
Dr. Isaac Chang, Associate Professor of Technology, holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a second master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Technology, both from Purdue University.

Teaching Interests & Areas
Drawing on a diverse academic and professional background, Dr. Chang has taught an extensive range of engineering and technology courses throughout his career. He currently leads the Technology Management curriculum for students across five undergraduate programs, focusing on product innovation and process improvement for product lifecycle and supply chain activities.
Research Interests & Areas
Dr. Chang’s research focuses on human spatial cognition, extended reality applications, and technology-enhanced teaching and learning. His industry experience includes collaborations with major corporations such as Boeing, DaimlerChrysler, Dassault Systèmes, and State Farm. In addition, he has provided consulting services to small and medium-sized manufacturing firms in Central California and North Dakota, specializing in process planning and tool design.
