The CAST Outstanding Pre-Tenure Researcher Award recognizes individuals who have conducted research at an outstanding level among peers in the College who have not yet earned tenure.

Eligibility
- Applicant must be a tenure-track faculty member currently engaged in scholarship and research.
- Applicant must have been at ISU for a minimum of one academic year prior to nomination.
- Nominees may not have previously won a CAST Outstanding Pre-Tenure Researcher Award.
Application Process
Eligible faculty members may be nominated by any faculty member, School Director, or Department Chair in the College.
The nominee must seek written endorsement of their application from their School Director or Department Chairperson or a colleague in the school/department. The endorsement should address the contribution of the nominee's research to their field of study, including the extent to which the nominee is recognized nationally or internationally for research.
More than one faculty member may be nominated by a given School or Department.
Entries will be reviewed by the CAST Research Council (CRC). The CRC will rank all entries and submit the final rank order and a recommendation for award to the CAST Dean.

Requirements
Include the following materials in pdf format.

Description of research
The statement should be one to two pages, single spaced, and written at a level appropriate for faculty reviewers outside the discipline. Address the significance of the nominee's total body of research to the field of study. (1 to 2 pages, single spaced)

Endorsement
The application needs to be endorsed by the nominee's School Director, Department Chairperson, or a colleague in the department.

Vita
Submit a full career vita. Complete citations must be given for all published works.
